A Mashpee man is facing charges after a car crash in front of the Coca-Cola bottling plant yesterday.
Police were called to the area at 3:41 PM for the two-car crash.
While speaking with one of the drivers, identified as Stewart D. Bellerive, 49, of Mashpee, police reported that he had glassy eyes and that he smelled of alcohol. An empty six-pack of Bud Light was found in Mr. Bellerive’s vehicle, police said.
He was given a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.
Mr. Bellerive was arrested and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating under the influence of liquor for a second offense.
