• Secretary of Health and Human Services
said Friday Morning on ABC News that the Food and Drug Administration will authorize the Covid-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech and Pfizer for emergency use. The vaccine may be administered in the U.S. as soon as Monday or Tuesday. (read more)

• An Australian effort to develop a Covid-19 vaccine is being halted. Researchers at the University of Queensland said Friday that the vaccine had produced a “robust response” in trials, but also that it had led to false-positive tests for HIV.
