Ingrid Ashton, speaking on behalf of the group, said: “This year we have decided that it will not be safe for us to hold the event, as we usually do with check-in at Hubbards Hills, as this could be difficult to maintain social distancing.
“Instead, we encourage everyone to still take part on January 3 – or if they prefer, on a day of their choice – and even a walk of their choice!”
