Police are hoping for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl who was last seen in Sydney’s south.
Layla De Jesus was last seen on Friday, January 22, at around 7.30pm.
At the time, Layla was leaving for a dance camp. Her mother had spoken to her about picking her up from Cronulla, however police said the plan fell through.
On Sunday, Layla was reported missing to Cronulla Police station and officers have commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
“Police and family have serious concerns for her welfare,” NSW Police said in a statement.
Layla is known to frequent the Cronulla and Miranda areas.
The 13-year-old is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, with olive skin and brown eyes and is around 160cm to 165cm tall.
