The City of Ramona, American Legion and Auxiliary and Ramona Chamber of Commerce had an amazing Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3, at the American Legion. More than 500 community members present, and a wonderful time was had by both adults and children. Thank you so much to the above organizations and the volunteers who made this wonderful event happen. A special thank you to the Easter Bunny for taking time out of his busy schedule to make a lot of little children very happy.
The students in the Caney Valley FFA program are on fire! Congratulations to the District Champion Junior Parliamentary Procedure Team and the Advanced Animal Science Team. Way to go, Mr. Thomas and students. You all are a great representation of the agriculture industry.
Blake Fraser, a first-grade student in Mrs. Jones’ class, earned enough Bazinga bucks (for being responsible, respectful and safe) to get a prize from Mrs. Longan’s treasure chest. Instead of choosing something for himself, he chose a tiara for his little sister. What a thoughtful, sweet young man!
The students at Madison Middle School in Bartlesville are collecting bottled water for all of the local volunteer fire departments. Though they aren’t Caney Valley students, they are opening their hearts and their wallets to help those who keep our county safe and our firemen and women hydrated when fighting fires. If you would like to donate to the cause, contact Courtney Gagan at 405-834-6565 or email Courtneygagan1@hotmail.com or drop water by Madison Middle School, 5900 Baylor Drive in Bartlesville. It takes a village! Stay tuned for more details.
